Coretta Scott King was the keynote speaker at the annual celebration of the birth of her late husband, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on Friday February 11, 1994. Mrs. King addressed the MIT community in Kresge Auditorium, following the traditional silent march that travels from Lobby 7 and Massachusetts Avenue to the auditorium. The day's theme was "The Movement for Economic and Social Justice: 1994 and Beyond."
